User Guide
Hotkey. Drop. Blast. Done.
Ripple is deliberately simple. Choose where copies should go, summon the puck, and drop Finder items onto it.
Choose a destination
Use Ripple’s menu bar control to choose the folder that will receive your copies. Ripple uses one simple destination at a time.
Summon the puck
Press Control + Option + Space to show Ripple. Press the same shortcut again when you want to dismiss it.
Drop Finder items on Ripple
Drag files, folders, images, or other Finder items onto the puck. Ripple copies them to the chosen destination. The originals stay where they are.
Move Ripple where you want it
Drag the puck around the desktop and place it where it is comfortable to use. Ripple remembers its position, works across multiple monitors, and keeps itself within visible screen space.
Read the success feedback
After a successful drop, Ripple briefly shows how many items were copied and the destination, then returns to its idle state.
Choose your level of ridiculous
Open Settings and choose a Confetti Intensity:
- Low — restrained pressure blast with almost no confetti.
- Normal — the balanced standard Ripple effect.
- Wild — more particles, bigger pieces, longer travel, and considerably more chaos.
Sound Effects
Ripple’s custom soundscape follows the interaction from approach through impact and aftermath. Turn Sound Effects off in Settings whenever you prefer silence. Copying works exactly the same either way.
Launch at Login and menu bar controls
Launch at Login can keep Ripple ready whenever your Mac starts. From the menu bar you can show or hide Ripple, choose the destination, open Settings, view About, or quit the app.
Choose where copies go, summon the puck, and throw something at it. If something is not behaving normally, head to Ripple Support.
