Something not rippling?
Most Ripple problems come down to the shortcut, the selected destination, or a setting. Start with the checks below.
Ripple does not appear
Try Control + Option + Space. If nothing happens, open Ripple normally and check whether another app is using the same global shortcut.
A drop does not copy
Confirm that a destination folder has been chosen and that it is currently available. Try a simple local folder such as one in your home folder to isolate a destination or permissions problem.
The destination is unavailable
If the destination is on an external drive or other removable location, reconnect it or choose a new destination from Ripple’s menu bar control.
Ripple is on the wrong display or in an awkward position
Drag the puck to the display and position you want. Ripple remembers its position. If needed, use the puck-position control in Settings to reset it.
There is no sound
Open Settings and make sure Sound Effects is enabled. Also check the Mac’s output volume and selected audio output. Ripple continues to copy normally when sound is off.
The blast is too much — or not enough
Open Settings and change Confetti Intensity between Low, Normal, and Wild. The setting changes the visual celebration, not the copy operation.
Launch at Login is not behaving as expected
Open Ripple Settings and verify the Launch at Login option. If Ripple is already running while testing the setting, quit it from the menu bar and sign in again when practical.
Remember: Ripple copies
Ripple does not move the original item. A successful drop creates a copy at the chosen destination while the original remains untouched.
